What is a modular building

Modular building is a partially or completely assembled building that is produced in “modules” at the factory, complying with applicable codes or national regulations and is constructed in a building manufacturing facility using a modular construction process.

Each module adopts either the shipping container or light gauge steel structural system with different types of renovative environmental materials, which is produced from the production line. The architectural, structural, electrical, drainage and decorative works of each module are pre-manufactured in the factory, and transported to the construction site as complete modules, then by using the crane to lift to exact position to finish the final assembling.

The modules are designed to be reused or repurposed multiple times and transported to different building sites and then built up. The modules can be stand-alone or combined vertically and horizontally to create the modular complex buildings.

The modular buildings are widely utilized for residential, industry, commercial and public service area as the hotels, apartments, schools, hospitals, offices, supermarkets, educational facilities, government settlement housing, tourist spots, military camp and etc. These buildings offer fast delivery, ease of relocation, low-cost reconfiguration, and enormous flexibility.

Better Flexibility and Reuse: Modular buildings can be dismantled for many times with low loss and the modules relocated or refurbished for new use, which can reduce the demand for raw materials and minimizing the amount of energy expended to create a building to meet the new need.

Less Material Waste: The modules are produced in the factory, which can make the waste is reduced by recycling materials, controlling inventory and protecting building materials.

Reduced pollution: The modules are produced in a factory-controlled setting, which can minimize the waste generated by site construction to protect the environment.
